| Review: | The Grey Fox is an excellent bargain. Available at most sporting goods stores $60-70, or at a Coleman outlet store for $45, this bag's 15 degree rating is not optimistic, as it has kept me quite warm in very cool conditions. The draft tube may appear a bit skimpy when compared to more expensive bags, but I have not noticed any cold spots to speak of. The bag comes with a nice little compression stuff sack. Although it is a bit heavy, weighing in at about 4 1/2 lbs., I personally feel the $100-200 savings when compared to a "name brand" bag are quite compensatory for the extra pound or so. If you're that concerned, do a few extra miles at the track before your trip and lose a pound of fat instead! If you are on a budget but still want a very serviceable cool weather bag (and the smug satisfaction of laughing at people who spent literally 5 times as much as you), check this one out. |
