| Review: | In 2001 when I first started looking for a backpack I went to a gear shop and was directed to the Gregory Whitney. I didn't know what to expect so I put my price limit at $400. I did a bit of research and found that Gregory was a well repected name in the outdoor community. I purchased the pack on sale. I have since helped a lot of people buy backpacks and have done a lot more research. the more I find out about it and the more I sue it the better I feel about my pack. I've used it as a check bag numerous times on planes (I even took it with me to Germany) I've found that under any circumstances it lives up to it's reputation. I have gone on only a few extended trips with it but I've beat it up traveling all over the west for work (9 months a year) weither on the trail or walking through an international airport (some are huge) it has never let me down. I would recommend this pack to anyone. It was a great starter pack for me but it just might be the last large backpack I'll ever buy. |
